Get a tax deduction while supporting survivors of domestic violence

It’s last call for 2012! We hope your final to-do list includes celebration, friends, and family. The next few hours represent your last opportunity to make a financial contribution you can use as a 2012 tax deduction. Please consider supporting the domestic violence survivors at Rainbow House with your year-end gift. It takes just a few minutes of your time right now, but has the power to change a survivor’s 2013.

Making the holidays magical for client families

Rainbow House supporters are making the holidays magical for the families we serve. Many people gave generously to ensure kids got what they wanted this year.

Several companies got into the spirit as well. Carlitos Towing conducted a very successful toy drive.

Home Depot symbolically adopted ten children, getting them everything from clothes to puzzles and games.

Medina Lawncare hosted a Christmas where the cover charge was a gift for Rainbow House. They collected many really nice toys!

Make the holidays special for Rainbow House families

Every year, dozens of Rainbow House families would not get anything for the holiday season were it not for our holiday gifts program. We make sure our families in greatest need get the toys, games, and clothes they need to make their holidays magical.

That’s where you step in!

The simplest option is to give directly to the campaign at http://www.razoo.com/story/Rainbow-House. You can also get your friends involved by joining our crowdfunding site and inviting them to donate http://www.razoo.com/team/Holiday-Gifts-For-Rainbow-House-Clients or sharing our Target list below.

Kids have already selected items they have wanted, which you can see at our Target list: http://www.target.com/ot/list/vUjZkjGY2uHnJi5AN8dFDA. Simply go there, purchase one or more items, and we will make sure it gets to the child who requested it! We will be adding more items as we get further through the lists.

Little Village supports Domestic Violence Awareness Month

The Little Village Chamber of Commerce and SSA#25 are showing their support for Domestic Violence Awareness Month with banners on 26th Street. Neighborhoods and organizations are “painting the town purple” to increase knowledge of the family violence and demonstrate it will not be tolerated in our communities. Rainbow House is grateful for purple being featured in this year’s Dia de los Muertos and Halloween banners!
